Supporting Adoptees with the LA Dodgers
We previously mentioned our support for the Mixed Roots Foundation’s Adoptee Day with the LA Dodgers, and last Sunday we eagerly enjoyed popcorn, hotdogs and a Dodger win! The day began with a visit to the Mixed Roots Foundation’s booth on the upper levels of Dodgers Stadium where we met with Mixed Roots founder, Holly Bachman and other leaders within the organization.
With stacks of Adoptee Day rally towels in hand, we headed back to our seats just in time to watch the premiere of Mixed Roots’ new PSA, which includes a Spokeo cameo. (You can watch the new PSA here.) Following the video on the big screen, Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker and adult adoptee, Patti Stanger, threw the first pitch to her baseball player boyfriend, David Press.
We managed to stay cool with our rally towels protecting us from the brutal sun and making sure to hydrate. We donated 10 tickets to deserving adoptee families from the Celia Center and were proud to have them join our team and n families. With a 2-1 win, the Dodgers swept the Padres in the series and it was a BLAST! Congrats to the Mixed Roots Foundation on another successful Adoptee Day event.
